We all Have Our FML Moments....
FML is hilarious, witty, and true; told by none other than the people who are cursing their lives. fml, (f*** my life) is a site where people enter their top fml moments they had that day. I was instantly hooked and have been checking them frequently since July. Its always good to get a laugh out of others' misfortune when your having a bad day. Here is some of my favorites for today:
Today, I lost my phone. I tried to call it using my husband's phone, but couldn't figure out which of the three Kates in the contact list was me. Turns out, two are co-workers and one is his aunt. I was listed under Satan. FML
Today, I told my parents I wanted to try modelling. I decided that since I have such a low self-esteem, that it might benefit me, and make me feel better about myself and how I look. The first thing out of my dad's mouth was, "What? Why? You're ugly." Thanks dad. FML
Today, I realized my girlfriend has way more friends than I do. How did I realize this? She called me to tell me she was at the beach with her friends and how much fun she was having. I was playing WoW in my room, and my friends don't answer my texts. FML
Check out more of these at www.fmylife.com or submit your own fml stories.... who knows, maybe you'll be my new fav!

Who Doesn't Love Freebies on Tuesday?:
Neon Trees - Animal
Dan Black - Symphonies
Danton Eeprom - Thanks for Nothing
Compared to some of the previous songs released free to itunes users, these songs aren't half bad. Not many people know that you every Tuesday there are new freebies. It's like being rewarded for having iTunes on your computer, (and spending money on ridiculously over priced songs!). For those who have been living under a rock for ten years and don't have iTunes, don't sweat it. Download it for free at www.apple.com and enjoy having a place to organize your music files and create playlists, even if you don't have an iPod. It's an excellent way to keep track of downloads and bought music. (The Neon Trees album work below for a sneak peak!)

Formspring: A New Branch of Social Networking Sites
For those who haven't heard about formspring.me, a new host to many social networking site users, it is a site where questions can be publically viewed and asked from other users as well as anonymously. It can instantly sync with facebook & four other social networking sites like twitter & tumblr. Although this site is unique and quite clever, I don't think it would be a wise choice to open an account unless you are really ready to handle the negitave feedback you may recieve while being a user. Because people can post without you knowing their identity, you're more likely to get hurt or have your self essteem lowered because of another user's comment. It's dangerous to one's mental health, especially teen girls. We all love formspring, but sometimes it doesn't love like us back. If you get one anyway, be confident in yourself while using your account and simply delete the negative questions or the account when something comes up. Well, since this is a review, i have been a current user of formspring for about two months; carefully observating. I noticed that I did have great fun posting questions back and forth with friends & reconnecting with old ones from my 8th grade year, but I personally came across some negative comments. I was taken aback, but i just ended up deleting them and continued my use. I haven't had many problems since, although my friends have some consistent haters on their page. It all depends on your personality and how you will handle the criticism.

Excited for the Arrival of the iPad:

Nano Shoots Video:
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the iPod Nano (5th Gen) now has a camera that shoots video. Score for the people who are looking to upgrade. And these would of course come in the various chromatic colors iPod offers. (pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, and silver.) Apple also included a new feature: a built in FM radio, a new addition since the 4th generation. Also, a pedometer, a fitness promo from Nike that keeps track of your steps and helps you moniter calorie burn, etc. I'm so jealous that this new nano can act like a camera phone; and for the price of $149 !
iPod Touch 3rd Generation Review:
I had gotten the iPod Touch 3rd Generation, 32 GB this Christmas and was beyond thrilled. I know that the iPod touch is anything but new, but you'd be surprised as to how many people are still working with the older iPods and are looking for an upgrade. This iPod is for someone looking for a much more personal exeperience or someone who will utilize the special services offered like apps, voice control, internet, calender, contact book, etc. For somebody who wants an iPod strictly to listen to their music collection, I would downgrade for something like the nano or shuffle with a high GB count. I was also very happy with the built in speakers; which are perfect for friends who want to share music without squishing together to each get an headphone.
DESIGN AND LOOK:When I first pulled the iPod Touch out of the clear white case I was impressed with the sleekness of design; the standard one with the black front and mirrored silver on the back. The change in weight however, from the iPod Nano 4th Generation was a little bit of a con for me though. Nowadays, you can customize your iPod by choosing various colors and textures; and of course, the headphones. If you're interested in having a customized iPod go to this website: (http://www.colorwarepc.com/p-194-iphone-3g.aspx)
MOBILITY: Although I do take pride in using my iPod out and about; at the gym, at school, and where ever else I need to go, I found its a bit too bulky for my taste and now six months later I wish it were perhaps a little more lightweight and easier to carry.
SOUND QUALITY: If you buy your songs from iTunes and use your headphones, I can promise you the sound quality is fabulous. However, some songs coming from the built in speakers may not be as clear.

BATTERY LIFE: Although I do love my iPod, the battery life is not quite as good as my other models. I'm guessing it's because your much more dynamic and the use of the battery is much more active, it wears it down faster. If you turn off your wifi while it's not in use, you can get up to six hours more than without. There's tons of tips and tricks on the internet on how to improve your battery life.
OVERALL: I overall satisfied with this product and really enjoy using it day to day.
Getting Tech on Sexting:
As a representative of technology I know that I have to update you on sexting; I know you know about it, and I know you've heard it about a million times. If by any rare chance you haven't heard about it or you aren't exactly sure what sexting is, it is where you send naked or nude photos of yourself from your cell phone to another cell phone. You might not really worry about it, you might have even done it yourself. Honestly, although i never have sexted and never will, I never thought of sexting as dangerous. Only, while watching MTV I saw a commerical that almost shocked me; it was real and it was about sexting. It really put into perspective for me and had an important message. Watch it underneath:
Don't abuse the power you have by hitting the send button.

via webcam: the new on oovoo
If you haven't heard, I'm loving oovoo; the site where you can videochat with up to six friends at one time, have IM conversations, and have a share screen option; all for free. The tool helps you stay connected without downloading from untrusted sites or owning a MAC. It makes communicating through the computer easier, faster, and a lot more fun. HOW DOES IT WORK?: Once you download it off of www.oovoo.com (available for macs and pcs!) you create your account with and pick an oovoo display name. Once you've cleared the adminstration process, you can search for oovoo friends and family! By adding them to your contact list, you send them a notification and you can instantly connect and chat via webcam! You can use
OVERALL: I had quite alot of fun on Oovoo and really liked how easy it was too find people and get connected. I especially liked the share screen feature (which i have mentioned a few times already) that allows you see what is on your friend's screen from your own computer. Also, oovoo has a testing option which allows you to try oovoo out for fun and without a download. No commitment! However, I didn't like that Oovoo changes your homescreen to mystart.com or the annoying ads and commerical products under the chat screen. While I'm talking to my best friend I don't want to be barraded by weightloss stories!
